May we always have friends

Friends come, friends go,
same old, others new
Some young, some old
Some close, some… just to say hello

Aquaintences we share special moments with
Others a smile or a niceties while waiting in line
Clients that are special, turned friends…so sublime

Ones that hold your hand when you are going through a rough time
Your 2 a.m. friends you can call in the middle of the night
To help soothe your soul and make everything turn on a dime

Friends that text
Friends that call
Some drop out and appear again, on and off

Word Press friends, turned friends of heart
Some you can count on, some you can’t
Friends to chat with, some to just hit like

Friends to golf or play tennis with
Some are hiking buddies or exercise friends
Some to play games with or share a meal

Some to write with and read our work
Some that pick up the phone and say “you’ll never guess”
Others who zoom or others who face time

Some hold you when you cry
Others sigh and never ask why
Our animal friends… with us till they die

Friends make the ride worthwhile
Where we can laugh so hard, we cry
And be exactly how we truly are or who we aren’t

They will be completely honest with us
And have our back even if we don’t agree.
Friends that share our secrets and our heart

Friends to the bitter end, til death do us part…..
There’s only a few of them.
One thing is true too;

Our old friends will always be new friends when our memories slow
New friends are needed when our dear old, new friends, go
May we always have friends like I have found in you.

I’ve been thinking a lot about friendship lately here on and off the page. I truly feel blessed by our friendship. We are really lucky to have each other during all of the changes and uncertainty we have all gone through this past year and a half. It’s such a gift we can share and offer insight and understanding as we navigate our lives moving foward. Friendship is the corner stone where we all can be valued, heard, appreciated and accepted for who we are which is why I marked so many tags here. It is what feeds us spiritually and emotionally and our lives are made richer and more whole by each or our contributions and honest sharing. If you look at what truly sustains us all, it’s not money and stuff but love and caring of our souls.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring for mine and for your friendship and visit today❣️
